Prafia PDF Label Crop Tool: cropping a A4 page to a 4" x 6" label - Prafia Pro

Some shipping platforms generate labels on full-size A4 documents. Often, one half contains the shipping label and the other half a receipt or packing slip. Others place multiple labels on a single page.

To print perfectly on a 100 mm x 150 mm (4" x 6") label, we recommend using our own tool for the best results.

Recommended Method: Use the Prafia PDF Label Crop Tool

Our online tool now supports multiple selections and includes a PDF splitter. This makes cropping and splitting labels faster and easier than ever — no extra software required.

Option 1: Crop Tool (Custom Selections)

  1. Upload your PDF file.
  2. Draw one or multiple 4" x 6" crop areas on the page.
    • The same selections will automatically apply to all pages in your file.
  3. Click Crop Preview, then Download.
  4. Print the cropped file using your Prafia printer.

Tip: Use this option if your label and receipt/packing slip are combined on the same A4 page.

Option 2: PDF Splitter (A4 to 4x6/A6)

  1. Upload your A4 file with 4 labels per page.
  2. Set the edge margins and gutters (default: 4 mm / 2 mm).
  3. Click Preview Split, then Download.
  4. Each label will be exported as a separate 4" x 6" file, ready to print.

Tip: This is the fastest option if your platform always provides 4 labels per page (e.g., DHL eCommerce).

Alternative Method: Using Adobe "Take a Snapshot"

  1. Download Adobe Reader from the Adobe website.
  2. Save your label as a PDF file.
  3. Open the file in Adobe Reader.
  4. Rotate the label if needed via View → Rotate View.
  5. Go to Edit → More → Take a Snapshot.
  6. Click and drag the box over your label.
  7. Go to File → Print.
  8. If the preview looks good, click Print.
