Labels are not dark enough - Prafia Flex

The most common reason for low-quality prints is a low-quality source file. To test whether your Prafia printer is working correctly, print the Sample label. This label is provided at standard quality and should print clearly. If there is no difference or improvement, you will need to adjust your printer settings.

If it seems like your original low-quality print was designed for 8.5 × 11 size, check if you can change the label settings to 4 × 6 or 100 mm × 150 mm.

Recommendation: Use a commercial solution that automatically downloads your orders from online channels (eBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc.) and provides you with a simple button to print high-quality 4 × 6 (100 mm × 150 mm) labels.

Possible Causes of Faded Prints

1) Label Quality
The darkness and sharpness of the print depends on the label manufacturer. High-quality labels produce darker, clearer prints.

2) Margins and Page Size
Ensure the content fills the entire label. Extra borders may cause your design to be shrunk, resulting in faded output. When printing 4 × 6 labels, the sample 4 × 6 label should take up the full width and height of the label.

3) Print Density and Speed
In your Prafia printer preferences, you can adjust "Darkness" and "Speed". By default, Prafia is set to the fastest print speed. Slowing it down will improve resolution.

Note: Increasing the density (darkness) will make prints darker. If set too high, it may cause dark lines or overheating, making labels stick to the print head. Lowering density will make prints lighter.
