Skipping labels or continuously feeding - Prafia Pro
There are two main reasons why Prafia skips labels or continuously feeds. This behavior usually happens after you change your label type, size, or manufacturer.
-
Prafia hasn't learned your label [The Most Common Reason]
Please re-run the automatic label identification so Prafia can learn your label.
To make sure your computer is not sending print commands to Prafia, disconnect the USB cable from your Prafia printer. Then press and hold the top circular button on the printer.
For the Prafia Flex, release it when you hear one beep.
For the Prafia Pro, release it after the blue light flashes twice.
Prafia will then move the label back and forth to learn the gap size and other label properties. You should now see a green light and the label placed at the tear-off point.
Please re-connect the USB cable to Prafia and try your print.

Your operating system is sending a longer/shorter label to Prafia
Please ensure you have the correct label size:-
For Windows:
Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers → Right Click on Prafia → Printer Preferences → Advanced.
Most 4 x 6 labels are 100 mm x 150 mm. -
For Mac:
Please select 100 mm x 150 mm or 4" x 6" in the print prompt window.
Note: The application you are using (e.g. Adobe Reader) could be overriding your driver label setting and sending the print in a larger/smaller size to Prafia. Look for “Page Setup” or “Paper Size” in the print prompt and ensure that it is set to the size you want.
